10Gtek’s Optical Transceivers and Cables(DAC&AOC) Passed UNH-IOL InterOperability Testing
Who is UNH-IOL?
The UNH-IOL (University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory) is a highly respected laboratory that provides independent, broad-based interoperability and standards conformance testing for data, telecommunications and storage networking products and technologies. The laboratory has grown steadily into one of the industry’s premier independent proving grounds for new technologies.

The Mission of UNH-IOL is to provide a neutral environment to foster multi-vendor interoperability, conformance to standards, and improvement of data networking while attracting students to, and educating them for, future employment in cutting-edge technologies.
10Gtek, Open Networking Membership
With the intention of creating confidence among customers and facilitating interoperability across multi-vendor networks, several industry forums have created certification programs. Testing plays a large part in these certification programs, and the use of independent third-party test houses is key to their success. That’s what UNH-IOL concentrated on. UNH-IOL does not certify devices, rather they supply unbiased information these certification programs need to accurately certify devices.
Molex, Apple, Arista, Broadcom, Cisco, Dell and more companies have become members of UNH-IOL. Since 2017, 10Gtek has also joined the membership of UNH-IOL open networking project.

10Gtek Testing Reports
UNH-IOL has an extensive collection of networking devices of different brands. That ensures those to be tested networking parts can be tested in wide range of devices on conformance and interoperability. Some of 10Gtek products were arranged to be tested in IOL lab, details attached here (Table 1).

After several months’ strict testing, it is happy to know that all 10Gtek modules and cables are qualified. For instance, 10Gtek AOC-Q4Q4-010 100Gb/s QSFP28 active optical cable 10 meter was arranged to tested on switches of Facebook Wedge 100, Edge Core 7712 and others, with NOS of Cumulus version 3.5.2. Check picture below (Figure 5), obviously we can see 10Gtek AOC-Q4Q4-010 passed all the conformance and interoperability testing. Figure 3
